Mix and Match Productions provides Executive Producer services for theater projects in development, workshop, and production stages. Our leadership spans creative producing, financial planning, team building, and strategic rollout support. Services are structured to reflect the scale and scope of your project.

Scope of Services as Executive Producer

When engaged, Mix and Match Productions may provide the following:

  • Strategic support on creative development and packaging
  • Budget consultation and financial modeling
  • Show blurb and invitation language support
  • Hiring support for key creatives and management staff
  • Creative team, investor, and partnership introductions
  • Oversight of general management, press, and marketing activity
  • Liaison with authors, agents, GM, and producing partners
  • Assistance with securing nonprofit or commercial enhancement partners
  • Investor strategy, deck development, and fundraising structure
  • Script review and creative feedback throughout development

General Management

Mix and Match Productions is happy to offer general management services for any stage of development, whether you need someone to help with a single reading/workshop or you’re looking for production-level services.

Developmental Services

We offer full-service, one-off, general management services for theatrical development including table reads, 29-hour readings, and Equity Development Agreement workshops (Tiers 1–3).

What’s Included

  • Pre-Production Work, regardless of timeline
    • Budget creation and maintenance
    • Union compliance (AEA, Local 802, USA as applicable)
    • Contracts for all personnel (actors, stage managers, creatives, crew)
    • Scheduling and rehearsal studio advisement
    • Insurance coordination and any other compliance needed from venue or unions
  • Marketing & Press Advising
    • Consulting on invitation list, sending and tracking invitations
    • Coordinating the delivery of assets with the press and marketing teams, if engaged
    • Coordination with designer or producer to create key art and/or title treatment
  • Close-Out Process
    • Final budget reconciliation
    • Finalized guest list delivery to producers
    • Post-mortem meeting with producing team
    • Summary report and invoice submission
    • Optional wrap-up email or PDF with next steps, open items, and final contacts

Note: In all instances, fee is based on cast size, scope of team (e.g., casting director, associates, music staff), number of unions involved, and anticipated level of pre-production and on-site coordination. All pricing is discussed transparently with producers in advance.

Production-Level Services

We provide comprehensive general management services for theatrical productions, including second-class commercial runs, nonprofit and regional productions, and enhanced developmental engagements. Our retainer model is structured around the scale of your production and the level of operational support required.

Scope of Services:

  • Budget creation and maintenance
  • Union and labor compliance (AEA, SDC, Local 802, USA, etc.)
  • Contract drafting and deal memo management
  • Rehearsal and performance logistics
  • Scheduling and production calendar coordination
  • Insurance, bonding, and liability filings
  • House seat and comp tracking
  • Box office audit support and daily/weekly financial reporting
  • Archival and promotional filming coordination
  • Press and marketing team coordination (execution only)
